Trail Maintenance


maintMany groups on the coast are maintaining our trails, from groups like SCUMB, Sunshine Coast Cycling, Sunshine Coast Dirt Bikers Association, really most of the members of the Trails Society to individuals our trails are maintained by volunteers.

The SCUMB Facebook page is often used to communicate issues / resolution of trail issues.

Hey Everyone, hope you are all well 🙂 just a quick note that I have been marking trails in B&K and Sprockkids for the Puddle Jumper Classic. I'm using fluorescent green flags, also in parts fluorescent orange flags and I have tried to mark all trailheads regards them being flagged and we will remove the flags and signage by Sunday. It would be appreciated if you could take care not to accidentally knock or remove the flags as some of the racers are from out of town and don't know the trails. There is a large tree down on Mach-chicken immediately after the big jump. Needs a large saw to cut it. There are sticks at the top to prevent people jumping and not being able to stop before hitting the tree.
